CHINESE
DISSIDENTS ACCUSE BEIJING OF KIDNAPPING AND DETAINING A PERMANENT US CITIZENS
AND CANADIAN CITIZEN FOR SIX MONTH IN CHINA
(Families
of dissidents have never heard about $10 million ransom cited by Chinese
officials as alleged reason for kidnapping)
On the eve
of a new century and a new millennia, China Democracy Party would like to take this
opportunity to review the century just past and to put into perspective our mission. This
review shall enable us to better delineate our position on major issues facing China. In
the new century, we intend to move forward with a clear direction and with a renewed
resolve.

Peace or Appeasement--US
Policy Toward China
Forum on Capital Hill on September 28, 1999
Facing communist China's military threat, what are the
forces to defend democracy in Taiwan? How important is China's democratization
to world peace? What the US and Taiwan can do about it? A public forum
on US policy toward China and Taiwan, entitled
"THE TWO-CHINA CRISIS:
ONE DEMOCRACY OR TWO STATES?",
will be held on Capitol Hill.

The Free China Movement and Christian Freedom International
are joining
hands to help relieve the suffering in Taiwan due to
recent earthquakes.
Several days after a major earthquake killed thousands
and left more than
one hundred thousand homeless, aftershocks continue to
cause death and
destruction.
The Free China Movement believes that China should be governed by the rule of democratic law, abide by the UN Declaration of Human Rights, and respect freedom of speech, thought, religion, and assembly. We support open and free elections in China.
