Write to Dr. Yang Jianli YJL To the Friends and Supporters of Dr. Yang Jianli: Although their reunion was subdued with sadness, Christina and Aaron's visit with Jianli meant a great deal to all of them. During their meeting, Jianli told Christina that several months ago he received many pieces of mail from Amnesty International members around the world. When Christina told Jianli that many friends, old or new from their church, their children's schools, Harvard and other places in the U.S. and even other countries, have also written numerous letters on his behalf, he was visibly moved and encouraged. Many people have asked what they can do to help Jianli and his family. At this time, the family would most appreciate people writing even a short note directly to Jianli in order to help lift his spirits and show him that he has support at home and abroad. If possible, they have asked if we can write to him before Chinese New Year (February 9) and periodically thereafter, as everyone's time permits.
